As someone who lives directly under the RWY 19 departure path at LAS, I'm grateful every day they FINALLY replaced their fossilized 73's with something from remotely close to 21st century technology.

Actually, they are EXACTLY what they used to be, that's the problem! Is that a 707 cockpit, or 737-900ER? Well, it only has two thrust levers, so it must be the 900...... It's really hard to tell.

Its not just the -600, I believe an A318 was scarpped last year. They cost about as much to operate as the larger versions and carry less passengers.
