They were lucky they had the opportunity to "write it off" and scrap it...

But it's The "NG" version of the 500 and I know two airlines that would love to get rid of 49 500's if someone would take them...Nobody wants an airplane that holds 122 (or so) people and all other costs are the same as one that holds 137 (or so) or more.

I'm sure the fact that they are probably paid for helps, Otherwise they'd be returned to the lessor and scraped just like the previously mentioned above!

If they were classifieds as RJ's and someone's scope allowed it, I'm sure we'd have guys lined up out the door to fly it for nothing!
