That all depends on what YOU are willing to fly it for. Never say never. If I was SWAPA king for one day, I would be trying to get pay parity even on C152s!

Most times, once you give something up in the way of pay or QOL you may never see it again. If you guys go another round, you may find yourselves in a position to bid the left seat on that bird. Think of the possibilities. Punishment can be a two way street sometimes.

That, in my opinion, will likely be the deciding factor in this whole thing, combined with the protections that were obtained. From initial gloss-over, we didn't get QUITE enough to cover ALL the bases, but I think we got enough for the MC to convincingly sell it.

The Colgan guys thought that, and they were right! Same with most of the recent awards, the arbitrators gave companies with like sized aircraft pretty close to relative, plus a few here and there. Arbitration is actually an alternative that may give a better award than this current offer. Could it get any worse? Recent awards have included fences or seat locks to ensure people stay in their seats for a certain amount of time. It appears GK really has invested a lot of time and money into this aquisition/merger, and Wall Street and the stockholders seem to like it so far. Unlikely he would just walk away. If you don't like it overall, vote your concious and vote NO.

Since the Captains are keeping their seat and some are junior to SWA Co-Pilots then the Airtran Co-Pilots pay the price by being stapled at the bottom. Somebody has to pay the price. They are still way ahead in this deal.

I guess they will see if the Captains think this is fair. I bet they throw the Co-Pilots out in the street. Do you really think they care about them? They care about themselves. That is life.
