Does anybody know if HK still has their program going for purchasing their HK 40 cal at a reduced price for 121 pilots? If so what are the details of it.

This is really SSI and shouldn't be discussed on a public forum.
Its a pistol, just don't tell your wife! Tell her its for Prozac, she will believe that!

It's a mass produced HK pistol available to the public.

Do you really believe that this weapon is soooo great, and that the general public can not get their hands on a great weapon such as the American made S&W. A gun is a gun. Your skill will determine the effectiveness (this also means the skill to not having to use it).

The HK offer is still available to pilots "considering" the FFDO training program.

The gun dealer that handled my purchase told me last month that HK is going to end the pilot purchase discount in early 2009.

Also, expect 2-3 months to receive the weapon. Since the beginning of November 2008, the sale of handguns and semi-automatic weapons has increased 30% compared to the same time the year before. Rumour has it NRA memberships are up, too.

Sounds like people are scrambling in advance of our much needed, new gun control laws our great new President is committed to impose.

I don't see how this is SSI considering anyone can google HK Pilot Gun Discount and find out all about it.

Tupperware should stay in the kitchen...

As a long time Colt fan/owner who has also had a Smith, Para and Glock along the way I would agree with you, but have you ever fired one of these? Really is a great gun, little on the big side, but seems to be as reliable as it gets-eats everything. World apart from a Glock.

SSI documents have to be marked as such, the document isn't hence it isn't SSI.

Why would you want the public to have the same weapon as an FFDO?
If the bad guys get your FFDO gun, you have lost/failed the mission anyway, so whats the difference? Relax, have a tall glass of rum and you will be ok.

Yup, Ive shot a USP45 that has a can on it. It was pretty nice, but my P220 is still better. :)

Anybody who's ordered this lately? I have two documents in front of me, one address is Sterling, VA, contact Carla Blaylock. The other address is Trussville, AL, contact Leslie Swisher. Which one is valid?

I have the G17 and the G20; great guns! The 9mm parabellum is a cheap bullet compared to the 40 if you plan on shooting on a regular basis. I just bought the Springfield XDM 9mm and love it even though it is a little pricey but it comes with a few extras that are nice; 2 clips, speed holster, cleaner..etc. Make sure it fits your hand before you buy it.

Glock 22 for me. Went shooting with my father in law the day. His brand new PPK kept jamming. My Glock kept shooting.

I'm sure the HK is a nice piece, but my Glock is the most reliable semi I've ever had.

You can keep wishing what you want about the prez. With all the BS going on, he'd be pretty foolish to tackle gun control anytime soon.
