Reading between the lines, it seems as if USAPA expects the judge to order mediation -- so they proactively offer to mediate to buy goodwill with the judge.
JMHO but, I doubt that a judge will order mediation of an issue that has already been settled through mediation and binding arbitration.

Well isn't that politically convient, playing both end towards the middle. Seem's to remind me of the old saying about the person that refuses to stand up for something and how they will eventually fall for anything.

PHXFLYR:cool:

Again, as I will be at teh bottom of any resolved seniority dispute, and until recently had no vote whatsoever, how or why would I even bother to "play" either side against anyone? Your anger is really clouding both your logic and your ability to be civil. You and all the other West pilots continue to say that the East can just continue to work under LOA 93 pay levels until hell freezes over, but it seems you, for one, are personally losing your patience, as well as your cool.

"Not all of them, though. There are more than a few, though who know what the score is. It will be up to them to determine what course this pilot group will take going forward. Glad I don't have much time left.

PHXFLYR"

By ranting and berating 3rd list pilots, how do you suppose you will engender any positive support for the west pilots? I think you are getting overripe.

Ocity,

That's funny, that's not what the West pilots I've been talking to have said. But, maybe you're right... On the other hand, maybe not. If a real, pro-Nic, pro-unity candidate comes along, I'm willing to bet that a lot of guys will vote to finally end this mess. But, I could be wrong...

Andy

You're right. However a pro nic. Pro unity candidate will never see the lightof day as usapa is run like a banana republic. Remember, the sole purpose of usapa was to steal seniority they couldnt negotiate, mediate, or arbitrate on their own. People that stupid and militant will never even enter the arena of "reasonable". After all the crap they have put the West through over the last 4 years, there isn't a snow balls chance in hell of a settlement.

OCity,

Again, we'll see. I hope you're wrong. Because with the west guys + the third listers + the ex-ALPA/disgruntled east guys, we are coming close to a majority. I don't disagree with any of your above statements. However, they may not have to be reasonable or enter into a settlement. Rather, their simple "majority rules" mentality may just bite them in the a$$. We'll see in about 90 days (give or take a few)...

Again, I ask, are you in good standing so you can vote this time? We need EVERYONE to vote, if there is a chance...

Andy

I think you'll see close to 100% participation from the west when it matters.

Till the East pilots take the reins from the 86-89 AFO pilots running their union, we will just sit and wait till the chickens come home. You control the future of your union and pay, no West pilots can change your course, you are driving the bus!!! Enjoy LOA 93 till you decide to move on.

The future, maybe. We sure don't control the present! That doesn't make us immune to the poop flinging monkeys here tho.

Not yet, but I will ASAP. Moar information is neva a bad thing.

Viewer discretion advised and wotnot. I just got ahold of another (IBT type) newsource for inside USAPA baseball. Get'n roight inerestin'!

TY guppa!

I submit that all of our collective differences could be resolved by a lock in comprised of all u can eat chicken wings (From Buffalo, NY) and all you can drink homebrew. 5000 pilots enter, one agreement leaves. Thunderdome style! Everything the binding Nicolau negotiations/arbitration should have been.
