Kim "hinted" that I could wait for the 727 class (FIFO) -- AND I didn't talk to my wife until AFTER I accepted the MD-11.

No update requested on my drug test/physical (both still good).

Thanks for the intel on your class offers and on your timing to update your drug test/physical.

I interviewed Jan 18/19 and got the call Wed (21 Jun) to update my drug test/physical...faxed in the updated physical that day, but was leaving on a plane the next day to move from Honolulu to Raleigh...just got the FEDEX letter at my new house in Raleigh today, instructing me where to go for the drug test....gonna knock it out ASAP on Monday.

Anyone got a clue how long it takes to process the drug test and get it back to FEDEX HR?

Hoping to get "the good news call" in a few weeks...I guess I better start unpacking those boxes more quickly!

All of this is great news poolies ---- let's keep the intel flowing.

The drug test results and paperwork are completely transparent to you. The results are sent from the drug testing company to FedEx within 3 days.

Hey LAX I did mine on a Friday and the lab said that the results would be to Faxed to FedEx and they would have them by the start of business day on Monday. So pretty quick, but like Malter said you do nothing other than hit the cup and not your hand. Good luck. LOA

DLax you should check the drug test paperwork, I think you only have 48 hrs to complete the test once you have received the package from FedEx...Jan,3/4 interview still waiting for the call. Good Luck to all!

Thanks for the intel on the drug test paperwork timeline.

...got the FEDEX letter on Friday, but the center in Raleigh is closed on Sat and Sun.

I think going first thing Mon morning will meet the FEDEX HR guidance of completing the test within "two business days".

Hope to meet you all in Memphis soon!
 
Any KD calls today? Any idea of how frequently 727 classes will be? Once a week or 2x a month?
 
For any employee drug test, if you fail a drug test, the Dr at the lab where the specimin was sent to to have testing completed will call you to see if you are on any meds, if so, what kind and ask you to prove it (send in copy of perscription). That also depends upon what they test for, some prescription meds, they don't care about.

If it was for something illegal, they should have you re-test, because, nothing is 100% accurate.

I don't know what FedEx would do if things came back bad twice, I'm sure a letter whould be sent out, no phone call.

I'm no Dr, but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
 
Has anyone other than Purple Nugget gotten a call specifically for the July 31 B727 class? Anyone know anyone else who got a phone call regarding this class? Is this a class of one? It seems unusual that no one else has posted to say they got into a 727 class.

Also, were either of you offered a choice between MD-11 and 727 since both classes appear to be starting on 31 Jul

Appears this summer's MD-11 classes have ranged from 10-18 slots....does anyone know how big the 727 classes have historically been?

They are currently taking the high and heavy time guys first. Don't pass up a class date, take ANC and bid back to MEM after you are off probation, See you on the line..

31JUL class consists of:
10 MD-11 ANC
15 727 MEM ('should' be FIFO)
 
Got the call from KD yesterday, But got home to late to return the call until this morning. Was offered and gladly accepted 727 Memphis. Sounds like the seat will be assigned in groundschool. It's been a long wait since the Jan interview! Good luck and hope to see you all in Memphis.

so most people like MEM instead of the other bases? Id think ANC would be cool

You soon to be "purple nuggets" ought to be called "Mushrooms" before class. Mostly 'cause you are kept in the dark all the time.

I hope they treat you better after you get on the property.

Was it that long ago that this place was populated with an 'unofficial' Southwest poolee list right alongside the 'unofficial' FedEx one? I wasn't on either, but I got the impression that no one on either list had a clue as to what was really going on. Sounds like the UPS deal is even more confusing. So my point is Sarge, what exactly is your point?
 
Sorry Malter, July 31 class, I interviewed Jan 3,4 then updated medical and drug test May 22.I did'nt ask about class size and she did'nt volunteer any extra information. I was never offered anything but the 727 Memphis base. I was somewhat surprised not to be offered MD 11 as my last job was 747 with EFIS/FMS (not quite the glass of the MD 11 but similar flying). Hope this helps...best of luck.
