Face "Whatever" You Want

Perhaps I misunderstood what you were saying earlier. I agree with you that different types of flying offer different experiences and skills. But let's face it, flying cargo in the ATC system on a large heavy plane is more in line of what you would be doing flying for FDX. Flying a fighter (while being good training and experience) is not.
No, you didn't misunderstand, howerver, I AM NOT going to go there. I won't start or participate in another Fighter vs Heavy time thread. You are obviously a herbivore and think flying big planes in the ATC system is better experience for FDX. I disagree. I think flying fighters in that same ATC system is just as relevant. Flying from point A to B is just that, no matter what size aircraft or what type of engine that plane has on it. I'm a herbivore and the transition to big jets in that same ATC system was a piece of cake. It just isn't that tough. I'm pretty sure that is why FDX hires a lot of fighter guys as well as heavy guys. Both sides have good and bad. One isn't necessarily better than the other. Since it has nothing to do with the hiring mins at FDX or the original line of this post, I'm done with this one. Cheers.

Have a buddy whose dad is a senior check airmen and his parents routinely have dinner with the CFO I believe. He has about 6000 total time and at least 2500 turbine PIC in a CRJ. He is still waiting for fed ex, now when they were hiring h didn't have the 1500 yet so he couldn't even get into an interview.

Even shoe-in Pinnacle captains (mem-based) who went to Memphis area high schools, trained at Olive Branch and probably went to Delta st or MTSU have to have the mins. Tho, those contacts will get him to the good pile on KD's desk once it resumes, provided he's not a complete chad.

Ok. We'll just agree to disagree on this one.
