"The guys who were there when we needed them the most!" had the NJA 2007 amended pay rates to go by last time they sat at the negotiating table, look how much good that did. Three more years frozen at the current FO scale while Kenn toys with them, and you'll see guys leaving to go to the regionals.
 
Pilot pay has pretty much never been a big secret, it is widely published. Doesn't really need to be secret as pay at your particular company is based on seniority versus a merit/performance pay system like most other careers. Pay is one of the good things with a seniority based system, it rewards employees for staying with a company for a long time. There are some negative aspects of a seniority based system as well, performance is not measured but technically speaking as a pilot if you meet the minimum level, say during your check ride, then you could say yes your performance is a factor.

Actually it is against some obscure federal law for a company to require you to not divulge your salary. Most HR departments and company managers are not aware of many of the Federal laws when it comes to pay, I just happened to have a class on that particular matter.
