I also got the email today....for the second time....had an internal recommendation this time, still didn't get the chance. Oh well, back to the update and wait game.

Got the rejection email, but I only have 850/300 multi... Guess I'll keep doing Vmc demos and try back later.

Man, I feel you on that, i'm so bored doing Vmc demos and what not, man I see why people get "airline-itis" once they hit 1000+ hrs.

Wait until you have to fly straight and level all day long for 7 legs. Makes me love being a CFI that much more!!

I guess it's always greener on the other side...

The worst part about getting that call is that even though you try not to get too worked up because you know that you don't have enough time, you start thinking about what ifs....

Being fond of the saab is one thing..I'm just wondering, how fond are you of you life? Because you're risking it every day at Colgan.

not the first time i've heard that...

What's the fax number?

I also heard that Angela had hired some guys. Good luck to everyone out there.

scoot

I got the call from Rachael yesterday too. I last applied in Jan. and was asked to fax a current resume to them. I asked when they were setting up the interviews/ class dates for and she told me to call Angela her manager for that kind of info.

For those that are interested in such things, my times are 1700 500 multi ATP and current 121 job.

I was called today also. At first I got really excited when I looked at the caller ID and it said Continental.....Then I realized that would be a heck of a trick since I never applied to them. So it was express calling and being politely turned down. I'll sell my interview spot there for a case of Bells Oberon. Only one week til I load the moving truck and head back home (for a couple days).

Got a call the other day as well, doesn't look too promising with all of these rejection letters and emails. Guess I'll keep on screaming.... "more right rudder..."

Don't scream anything. A good instructor knows when to let a student learn from their own mistakes. Just be there to stop anything unsafe with a quick motion and a solid debrief after you land. Teaching in the air to a new student is a pet peeve of mine. Save it for the ground or take control of the airplane while you talk.

Wow, did I get off topic. More coffee please.

Got a call Monday and sent in my updated resume Tuesday. How long from then have some of you guys been getting the phone interview? How long to the actual interview? Are there any interviews conducted on weekends?

Got a call last Wed., voicemail, a person on Fri. requesting an updated resume, a call on Sat. w/ a few questions ie. types flown, currency, etc., told I'd get either a call or e-mail this week, nothing yet. Ohh, applied months ago, maybe 6?

Dawn went back on medical leave so she can enjoy life, rather than work 9-5 Mon-Fri.

Now you've heard it from a BIG FREAKIN BIRDY!!!

Do you mean she left flying for the 9-5 job? Or is she back on-line?

Got the rejection email 4 days after faxing in. What are they looking for?
Same here. I have 700tt 200me 100 instrument (75 simulated) and 70hrs in the past 6 months, all multi-turbine. I thought that was enough, but was probably well below the "competative" mark. They can't interview everyone I guess. :(

wow suppah, looks like you started a civil war. Dont worry bout these guys, just follow what you like to do. If you like the saab, fly the saab - if the airplanes break down from time to time, now you know how to handle it instead of falling asleep during preflight. Stick to your guns, and do what you want to do - good job
