Got a message from XJT last week about setting up an interview. I first sent them my resume ages ago and did that whole phone interview thing, and then they never got back to me. I submitted my resume and info again on expressjet.com again and nothing. Then I sent it in again in December and they call me now. WTF? Have they fixed the problems that I heard that they were having with Dawn Daniels? Can't say that I was very impressed...Luckily, I landed a job with a great company in January. Good luck to all you interviewees, aside from the problems that they have had with their hiring department, Expressjet is a great place to be.

I also got a call to fax in my resume. Any idea how long it takes to hear something back from when you fax a resume in? Has anyone gotten a call with under 1000/200? Any info would be appreciated.

Check this gang: yesterday I get a call from some foreign area code, answer, ask the caller to try back in five due to an elevator full of lawyers staring at me(knowing I'd lose the call on the way down), no return call so I *69 the #, on the other end is an auto from XTJ! needless to say I tried everything to get to a human but no, and no callback from XTJ. Any thoughts?(it's hard to sleep). Thanks.

Well, This is just a rumor, so dont quote me. But a friend of mine who was interviewed on the 19th and starts class this monday said that someone told him that Dawn was fired and that Angela has taken her place. AGAIN, this is not confirmed, just hearsay. He didnt know that for a fact either.

Doubt that, probably just a rumor.......:)

Add me to the list of the called today...got a call from rachel to send in my resume by fax...and said they would call or email me if I qualified:)<<<<Crossing fingers

If they aren't interested you get the word pretty quick. I applied a couple days ago and got this e-mail this morning.

Thank you for your interest in a career with ExpressJet. At this time, we do not have opportunities available that match your experience and skills. However, if a position more closely suited to your background develops, we will be happy to review your qualifications at that time.

It sounds to me like they are just trying to get everyone's updated info to figure out who gets the interview and when.

When they call you to fax your info, you are in the running. Things should happen pretty quickly from there. If you get a call from a 281 area code be ready to put your best foot forward.
Best of luck to all

She’s not been fired, just isn’t any longer in the hiring division. A little birdie from the XJET training department told me this.

On that note, there was a posting on the expressjet web site the other day for a flight ops recruiter. its no longer there so who knows.

Did she make it back to the line maybe? What kind of work is she doing now? Here profile on the CO site says she is an FO.

Oh well...

Got the rejection email, but I only have 850/300 multi... Guess I'll keep doing Vmc demos and try back later.

Being fond of the saab is one thing..I'm just wondering, how fond are you of you life? Because you're risking it every day at Colgan.

AG- I guess now a days you can say that about anywhere you are. Life has no guarantees, especially in aviation!

Depends on which little birdie you hear from.

Dawn went back on medical leave so she can enjoy life, rather than work 9-5 Mon-Fri.

Now you've heard it from a BIG FREAKIN BIRDY!!!

I also got the email today....for the second time....had an internal recommendation this time, still didn't get the chance. Oh well, back to the update and wait game.

Man, I feel you on that, i'm so bored doing Vmc demos and what not, man I see why people get "airline-itis" once they hit 1000+ hrs.

Wait until you have to fly straight and level all day long for 7 legs. Makes me love being a CFI that much more!!

I guess it's always greener on the other side...

The worst part about getting that call is that even though you try not to get too worked up because you know that you don't have enough time, you start thinking about what ifs....

not the first time i've heard that...

What's the fax number?

I also heard that Angela had hired some guys. Good luck to everyone out there.

scoot

I got the call from Rachael yesterday too. I last applied in Jan. and was asked to fax a current resume to them. I asked when they were setting up the interviews/ class dates for and she told me to call Angela her manager for that kind of info.

For those that are interested in such things, my times are 1700 500 multi ATP and current 121 job.

I was called today also. At first I got really excited when I looked at the caller ID and it said Continental.....Then I realized that would be a heck of a trick since I never applied to them. So it was express calling and being politely turned down. I'll sell my interview spot there for a case of Bells Oberon. Only one week til I load the moving truck and head back home (for a couple days).
