Ever flown with Captain Queeg?

To answer your question, I have never flown with anyone near that bad. I've flown with a-holes and a couple near incompetents before (it's amazing that they are usually one and the same) and you basically deal with them by staying as coldly professional as you can.

I've never flown with someone with all of his disorders, but I did fly with a guy we called Panic Boy. That guy had to have the worlds strongest sphincter muscles. This guy would panic when he would pull into a parking spot. His reputation got so bad that we would bid around him. Yep there are all types. Old Yellow Stain, we had him!

Sort of reminds me of what Len Morgan, the great airline writer for many years at Flying magazine once wrote, the only thing worse than a copilot that has never been a captain is a captain that has never been a copilot!

Do short Napoleonic Ex Military Captains count? (I will refrain from commenting on the service). Then yes. I agree with the comment about a Captain that has never been an FO. I have learned more about how I want to be when I return to the left seat because of what I have seen and heard sitting in the right.

One of my close captain friends from the regional I flew for told me of flying with a guy that had the nickname of "Captain FO" who use to keep the FOM out on his lap and preach. Finally on the last leg, he had enough. When briefing for the visual approach he said to the FO, "This f$@$#@g airplane on that f&*%$#g runway. Any questions?"

Lets just say the FOM was put up.
