Looks like this one really struck a chord. The SWA folks seem particularly agro in their response to this on here. If the ALPA lawyers deem this worth going to court over this they will. Bash them all you want, but they are much better qualified to make that call than any of us.

Of course that was from Forbes so you are probably right SWA is on the downside and everyone should put in their apps just like I said earlier into post.

DL is approx 400 pilots fat right now according to sources in the CPO. The 16 717s and 13 MD90s coming this year will eat those up. Throw 36 more 717s for each of the next two years, plus eventual retirements, and there should be hiring in 2014. And if you get in during 2014, you would be in a great place before the HUGE retirement numbers coming in 4-5 years, some of which have 700-800 pilots retiring each year. That is unbelievable upward movement. Are you going to apply Max?

Funny how the secret memo comes out at the exact same time there's a grass roots campaign to bring the 'temporary' union contribution down from 2% back to 1% for the remaining FL pilots. "Ohh - a secret memo that outlines everything we all already knew. Look how we're working for you. Keep paying us ..." SMH
