Bottom line is that using "ATITAPA" doesn't mean they will, it does not mean that without it they wouldn't have anyway, it does not mean that you are safe if no one answers anymore than if you used standard calls.
Plus any traffic in the area means what? In the pattern, twenty miles away inbound? Anybody even if landing at an airport 50 miles away? Five miles away going the opposite direction?
Pilots who use it are assuming they are the only one's who make radio calls per the AIM and everyone else won't make calls unless they request them. Come all guys/gals the guy who won't respond to "XYZ traffic this is whizzbanger jet twenty south for landing at XYZ" probably doesn't have his/her radio on or turned up and won't answer ATITAPA anyway.
