I can't believe I'm going to say this...

I agree with English. :D

Get some professional legal counsel from an aviation expert. Try www.jetlaw.com for starters.

Also, in many states, after a period of time has passed and she hasn't filed any follow-up complaints, many judges will allow you to have the restraining order, otherwise known as an "order of protection" lifted, regardless of how much she complains.

No matter what, make sure you have an attorney representing you this time; it makes all the difference in the world, trust me. I do a lot of my own lawsuits when I get screwed by someone off eBay or at a dealer repair shop etc, and on the important ones, having an attorney gives your argument more credence to a judge.

The bad news as English said, your fingerprints will now come up on a hit list when you go to get your SIDA badge which is the only real kink I can think of right off the bat. It wasn't a violent crime, but they will more than likely report it to your employer. Many employers fingerprint you during your interview. Southwest is one that does, my last employer flying Lears did that too although we were doing a lot of Dept of Defense work.

Good luck!

I won't go into the details of my story but here is a different piece of advice. I Hate when people lie and get away with it BUT DO NOT GO BACK TO COURT, she lied and she will do it again. You will blow alot of money and take a BIG chance of making it worse. I would only go back if she is still coming after you. If not get as far away from her as possible, be more selective to those you date and be thankful that bit$$ didn't get away with more. At this point unless someone at the airline you are applying to says something to HR no one will ever know. If it comes up tell the truth. Sure revenge MAY be possible and COULD be sweet but is it worth her getting away again with lies that do end up on your record and ruin your carreer?
I agree with Monster Buck 100%. You need to stay as far away from this person as possible. Getting involved in further court pissing matches only keeps her in your life longer, which, in a sick way, is probably what she wants. Look into the restraining order issue quietly or have an attorney do it. I don't think they last indefinitely. You'll want it to quietly go away. The other thing is to stop hanging out at places or with people that know her. That includes people that claim to be friends of both of you. If they're still friends with her knowing what is going on then they aren't a friend of yours. Eliminate all contact!
