To answer an earlier question, international shipments to/from the US are carried by a number of carriers. Trans-atlantic is done by Lufthansa Cargo, World Airways and (to small extent) Kalitta. Trans-pac is done by NWA Cargo and Polar - with the NWA contract set to terminate in the near future. The future will also bring DHL Air UK new-build B767-300ER freighters, which will take over the LH/WOA trans-atlantic flights in due course. There's 3 767 coming next year, with a further 3 on order for 2010 (2) and 2011 (1).

Oh, and the hub won't be ILN as far as I've heard; it'll be CVG. Domestic US flying will, as soon as the UPS deal is officially declared dead, but done by the lowest bidder. Since DHL got a rather large investment in ASTAR, they'd be the obvious choice. But, they're flying the wrong aeroplanes! ABX got the right aircraft (B767 with large cargo-doors), BUT there's little love lost between ABX and DHL. So, who knows what'll happen.

The hub will likely be SDF. That is what we are hearing anyway.

Just heard today that the UPS agreement is signed and will be announced soon.
