Sounds about right I was told a year ago that they were looking to start this in July. SEA-SYD is next!

What date are you looking at??

Also FWIW we could do ATL-SYD non stop using 180 min ETOPS. It is a crew rest issue though!

It will probably have 2 Captains and 2 FOs for the LAX-SYD-LAX portion. Our flights from BOM to ATL are close to 17 hours nonstop, and they have that crew number. I think United has 50 hour layovers down there, so maybe we will too. ATL to SYD nonstop would be a real long flight if it ever happened.....

It was my impression that it would be year round out of LAX and they would look at the loads out of SEA to see if it warranted year round service.

I would assume that is will be two full crews with that block time. I am sure that the B crew will DH to LAX. This is the way they did BOM with the ATL crews.

I thought we were (Glen H.) still trying to convince Boening to increase the range of the 777LR so we could take it from the east coast to SYD?

I'm pretty sure the 777LR is 207 min ETOPS. Might make ATL-SYD doable - about 600 nm longer than ATL - BOM though.
