I am sorry that you are a flaming little excuse of a human being...you might be "just the messenger"...but you should stick to your little beechcraft 400A world...and leave the airline biz to those of us that have made it that far... not to belittle the corporate world, I had 3,000 hours there before I made it to Delta...just don't let your obvious envy of those who have left you behind cause you to make an #ss out of yourself...

That's funny, there are many better corporate gigs out there than any legacy has to offer anymore. You should have seen what was offered for early retirement buyouts at NJA (we fly 400A's) compared to what you guys were offered. About 300K for our senior guys with fully payed employee health care (no premiums like we all currently get at NJA for our entire family) for 3 years. Just sayin'.........

Delta said it would continue to "right size" capacity and keep unit costs in check, but it reiterated that it may need to cut more jobs.

Well, I think we have right now been taking delivery of the [76-seat] regional RJ as we’ve grounded some of the older DC930s. That is largely complete and we will not be taking any delivery of any additional 76-seat RJs as we move into the future. So that trade-off from the older DC9s into the two class regional jets is pretty much complete at this point.

Read his above quote too. This was on an investor call so it is bound by SEC regulations. IE no BS. They state no more 76 seat jets. We have options and none on order above the 153. The do not like em.

When he says he is cutting DCI he means it. Prepare for more cuts as these contracts mature.
If we give DCI 100 seat jets we have no one to blame but ourselves.

I enjoyed flying corporate, but realized it was even less predictable than the airline world, and wanted the better schedule and work rules.

FWIW, I also thought the most common animal in the corporate pilot world was the guy who slammed the airline product and pilots, usually as his way of compensating for the route he chose or was forced to take.

ACL covered it but the fact is that the "RJ boom" is over and the coontraction point has been reached. DAL is in the process of fixing its product and part of that fix includes getting rid of ALOT of "RJ's"

I also know that ain't going to happen. I know the union has heard it and realized that this group has absolutely had enough of the same old song and dance. 100 seaters are just too much. Heck you should hear the guys that have been here 20 years muddle to themselves as they taxi a 767 past an RJ. They are finally getting it. That is something that I do not think the RJ drivers understand.
When we were making 300K plus a year, yes, we thought the RJ was below us. Now with wages and the overall QOL life going in the toilet, these guys have realized that seats are permanent, but pay rates are temporary at best.
We need seats and departures here at DAL. The scope slide has finally started to reverse course.
