I've run into more than a few widebody guys that haven't flown in well over 3 months.

I am trying to figure out how you come up with us being overstaffed? Nothing on the that list shows that.

The answer is how many are on property. Of the 12000+ pilots many are on sick leave, military leave, furlough bypass, etc.

Thank goodness for massive retirements starting in a few years and the fact that it takes 3yrs to recover the cost of a furlough.

The fact that you only need roughly 10,500 pilots when you already have over 12,500+ pilots. Surely, 2000+ pilots can't be out on sick, FMLA, and military leave.
