Delta orders 30 "mini-jets"

These jets are part of that big RFP. Remember, the winning carriers have already been notified last week(probably RJET and Skywest). It is now up to them to issue press releases.
 
Have the Skywest -900's been "re-configured" from the 70 seats to the 76? If so are they adding coach seats and reducing some of the First Class?

Yep,
the new DL scope clause went into effect January 1st.

No. The first one will come from the factory in March. The ones already on the property will be retrofitted as the schedules allow. I'm not sure of the configuration.
 
Anyone know when the people who have been informed of who is getting this delta flying are going to let the rest of us know?

My guess is there wont be an announcement until ASA gets a TA on their contract which will probably be in a week or two.
 
Why does everyone seem to overlook the obvious? Why would Delta buy these planes? There is an argument for them leasing these to contract carriers but why use reorganisational capitol to do so?

The only answer that makes sense is the bulk will go to....Comair!
