Man you should go find that 5:00 somewhere

Said it before, there's a big difference between grown adults, collectively, choosing the contract and working conditions they'll operate under- and voting to set up a whipsaw market that other grown men and women will have operate in.

I'm none too happy about age 65- I let my people know and don't sugarcoat how awful that transition was for my generation
Your legacy as DALPA, is world leader in outsourcing. Are you letting your people know that's not a good direction for the industry? Are you sugar coating it for the people who are so far removed they dont care? Do YOU care? Do you see the downward pressure outsourcing puts on your wages even if it takes a couple steps? How willing RJ pilots are to fly for Allegiant and Virgin wages bc they represent real steps up for thousands stuck in the whipsaw market you create?

I don't pretend that SWA is perfect, but I work to fix what's wrong?

Are you Scoot?

Or are you too prideful and defensive to hear what a guy calling you a sellout has to say?

Hang on, wave....wait for it......

I got a dollar says he calls you a doosh again! This has the makings of a good drinking game.

Wave doesn't acknowledge at all that the current contract combatted outsourcing. RJ numbers were cut, INTL scope was tightened, and even domestic code sharing with AK. You can't just stop all of that at once, but you can work on the problem. Has SWAPA done anything about PFT? Anything at all? It's bad for this industry, and Wave and Red-liar compare it to getting a college degree, which you do need at most professional jobs. Do you need to pay for your type at most airlines? Nope, only cheap ones. Why again does that airline require it again? Because they "always have?" They can't afford to pay for it now? The AT guys get free training, why can't upcoming new hires? I did have to pay $25 for an FE Written back in the day, but not $7K..... (And most had to pay for applying to certain airlines and even Airapps now, can't compare that to the cost of a 73 type)

It's never been an "afford it" thing-

It's herb wanting his highest paid employees to have skin in the game. To be invested. To know what it means to take substantial risk like he did-

That's it. We want owners at SWA not just employees.

Even if we get far away from that- I still like it

Herb is gone. Time to change it wave, and it still is bad for industry and "cheap." Fix it.

RJs go to cities that mainline planes can't go to profitably, like Dothan, AL. How many AT cities were just dropped by SWA because 737s couldn't make money? Answer: 17.

Code shares make sense when airlines can't expand into other countries, but want to make travel "seamless" for the business traveler. You can't fly within Brazil or China, but code sharing allows their intra country pax to connect to your INTL flight. I think SWA initially code shared with AT after the merger, riiiight? I'm correct.

Bankruptcy, something hopefully you yourself don't have to do, or your company. If you do, it might save you. This is the land of second chances, and if you get into dire straights, the BK process is there for you.

You really can't debate, you just totally lost. You ain't no James Carvel, that's for sure, hoss....

Ouch.

Let's review...

SW....type rating.
No RJ's, ever.
No codeshare.
No bankruptcy.

AT had RJs in MKE, so technically, yeah, you sorta had RJs in your combined history. And, you did code shade with Volaris. You don't currently have either, and hopefully GK doesn't ask for some inexchange for keeping your wages the same coming up here. Good luck Red-liar....

Do your homework here Jenny.

As soon as SW bought AirTran, the RJs were gone. Violation of our Scope. Something you guys haven't learned very well.

So No. Southwest didn't have RJ's. We stopped them immediately.

We HAD exactly one codeshare partner. Volaris (by name). Now their gone and there is no codeshare. Not by any company, domestic or international. Isn't that a good Scope clause? I bet you wish you had that kind of language. Sure you do.

GK to ask for RJ's and codeshare? Thanks for pulling that out of your *ss, because he hasn't asked for either. Nice feeble attempt at debate when you have no facts.

How many codeshare partners do you have? 20? 30? That's embarrassing.
