So the comair 70 seaters will be used as bait to get the other regionals to reduce their 50 seaters. In other words "hey we will give you these 70 seaters if you work with us on your 50 seaters"

Will? It's already been done. Today's announcement wouldn't have been made if all the ducks were not in a row.

Or they will simply go to the cheapest 70 seat operator on the planet.

Blowjet wins.

Gojets won't get these. They have staffing issues and reliability issues. They will be used to trade out for 50's under contract. The trading company will then have no staffing issues and DAL reduces more 50s.

my bet is they go to pcl for the short term. pcl has the excess staffing and is in full training mode moving over the turboprop pilots. Here is how I see it going down: pcl is in bk. Mgmt dangles the comair planes in front of the pcl pilots and says " we can save furloughs and get more planes if........ you concede to these wage and contract concessions we are asking for." Delta gives pcl the planes for a change in the asa for all of the 200's which can be made since pcl is conviently in ch.11. Pcl will be Comair 2.0

Good god. Pinnacle doesn't have extra staffing. Comair covered 10 pinnacle flights yesterday alone!!

Pinnacle guys don't get it...yet. But u will...

say what? pcl has 600 pilots sitting at home collecting a check in the form of mesaba and colgan. what pcl doesnt have is a management that has a clue at all or leaders worth a flip. Comair had those things and were the gold standard for regionals for years. pcl is just going to die at the hands of some of the most incompetent people to ever grace the airline business.
