It was a joke, as was the rest of the post.

Oh well, like most Irishmen, I crack myself up.

Nothing like a guy who has been at a major for a month to break it down for everyone.

You have no idea who i am or how long i have been here tool. Did you make it to "mainline" CHQ yet?

Oh what a shocker a none alpa pilot not understanding the significance of the situation. You're just pissed because if we lock down scope you may not get any more shiny "mainline" jets :puke:

Superpilot92 wow dude, chill it out.

Really do you have any hard facts on what is going down? At least wait for real details. Dang.

The basis of my argument come from the gathering of information i can get my hands on. Everything i have seen and i dont think even the DAL guys will disagree with, is that DALALPA is trying to go to bed with DAL mgmt to screw their fellow ALPA brothers at NWA. That is in fact a disgrace and hopefully its nothing more then strong arming but none the less.

There is no way that we would do that.

I will say this. Us just "talking to Management" is getting its desired effect.
I am also certain that we are in constant contact with your exulted MEC.

I'm a DAL guy and I disagree with you.

Only thing I've seen is my fellow NWA ALPA brothers trying to screw me and my fellow DAL pilots. I'm very thankful for the leadership my MEC has demostrated and I stand behind them 100%.

Fair enough, What is fair then in regards to SLI? I think its great DALALPA is fighting for you guys, as they should. However the tactic of running to mgmt to try and undermine the NWA guys is only dipping into mgmts pockets. They are not on yours or my side. NWA ALPA is/was always attempting to work with DALALPA directly, maybe not agreeing but trying none the less.

Had not considered Woerth.

Many of the current MEC members at NWA are not big fans of Captain Woerth. Prater owes his position to NWA reps who went against their own and voted for him. Unfortunately.

YOU ARE GIVING AWAY YOUR/OUR JOBS WHEN YOU DO THIS!! I am in disgust:puke:

Yawn. You have no idea what's going to happen. The Delta pilots are entitled to negotiate with their management on issues involving their contract, just like the NWA pilots are entitled to do.

The Delta pilots are entitled to picket anywhere they want, without your permission, just like the UAL pilots and CMR pilots did when they picketted in Atlanta.

So just relax and settle down. You're big boys and girls over at NWA and you're capable of protecting your own interests.

Yawn??? IF you think for a minute that scope protection isnt important then YOU are the problem.

Superpilot:

We know that relative seniority was more than fair, yet your side turned it down.

The offer will not prejudice future proceedings.

The remaining opportunity is to do a deal before plans for your fleet and Boeing's screw ups on your growth airplane render you in a much worse position than you are currently in.

Your retirements will be "OBE" as Occam writes.

These rumors indicate D-ALPA can easily meet the challenge raised by NWA MEC. If the NWA MEC wants to turn down a mutually beneficial agreement and go to arbitration, then "events" will seriously undermine the position of the NWA pilots as arbitration is approached. You will be one of the first victims of your MEC's misguided refusal to act reasonably.

Your Reps have seen plan A and refused it. Now is the time for plan B. There is also a plan C.

The plans get increasingly painful as the airline is unable to reap the economic benefits that fund the goodies that make the plans more palatable to you and me.

Scope protection is very important. I never said otherwise. There's a great deal more in Section one than RJ limitations. Any merger involving DAL, because of our hard fought contract, requires certain relief in Section 1 of our contract. That's a good thing. It gives us leverage in negotiations.

You have your own contract, the product of your own pilot group's strategies and priorities and you have your own MEC, you are more than capable of defending your interests. No need to fear the big bad Delta pilots.

We negotiate with our management, you negotiate with yours.

We negotiate with our management, you negotiate with yours.
What if they don't have one? What if Delta owns the code as part of the transaction?

I'm thinking any rational player has to fold with three deuces and a pair of 9's at this point.

that is only if they know how to play the game and it appears that they do not.
I guess we will see how much they up the ante.
