CRJ Drivers, Cowl Anti Ice Q

It's been several months since we had to use the cowls on the ground for T/O. It was cold and rainy yesterday, and when they were selected "on" with the bleeds on the 10th for the packs the T/O carats would go away. We went to the perf page and selected all of the options. Is this normal? I read the POH and couldn't find much info. We had a long line before we could launch and tried some other things, but couldn't solve the problem. Any help is much appreciated.

Remember anything about bleed misconfig? Next time start the APU, transfer the bleeds, and try again.

Put the 10th stagers on the APU next time

I can take a good thrashing, I'm married.

I meant to say the 10th were on the APU. No bleed misconfig msg came up. Old Sparky was up and runnin' and providing the bleed air for the packs.

Re-enter the OAT. Sometimes it will drop out even though it shows the OAT in the box.

Was there a ## for the temp? Sometimes being in line the preceeding a/c's exhaust bumps it out.

Tried that. Plus the SAT and TAT were both at 7.

Alrighty, thrashing over, actually troubleshooting can begin.

If the conditions are outside of the FMS's database, it won't give you the bugs. For example if you have a cautious captain who likes a/ice on when it's not 10C or below, I've seen it not give bugs for that.
