Thanks Yall....By the way how come we don't question one another more on this board on systems related stuff instead the usual bitchin' and moaning of the day (unions, contracts, etc..)?

I think it would make for a much more interesting site....ah well no one cares IMHO....guess I'm just in a systems frame of mind right Now...Thanks Again!

Because we have better things to do with our time than talk systems.

Don't try to bring us in with you.

Go to the A&P section. The will talk with you all day.

Another reason the 14th stage valves fail open is for the thrust reversers. Even with a failed valve the thrust reversers would still be available for use.

Bonus question ... what message do you get when the valve fails and when would you get it?

A Master warning triple Chime, "Bleed Air Duct" Aural Alert, w/ a red 14th Bleed Warning messege.

You know what the indications are you forgot to retract the spoilers after being slam-dunked on approach?

The airplane says "You wanna stow the boards there now, eh?"

Yes, it does. With an amber "FLT SPOILERS DEPLOYED" message.
