In this day and age of the internet (thank you Al Gore), why do we have "fine print" at all? In my view, "fine print" has always been about deceiving the consumer.

Free speech is one thing, deception is quite another.

This has made the rounds before but it's still entertaining:

Are you stupid or just ignorant son?

There are currently 72,536 pages in the US Tax Code and 82,590 pages in the Federal Registry.

This doesn't include State Laws (of which there are 50), county laws (3,141), and the roughly 19,000 incorporated areas (cities) with municipal laws and ordinances.

Where, pray tell, is this "lack of regulation"?

A little FYI follow-up. This year, just in the State of Texas alone, an additional 1,479 new laws were put on the books. From Lottery Tickets, to Dominoes, to HOA's we continue to add to the criminalization of Americans.

Maybe we need a regulator to regulate the regulations?

Great! The Obama administration will take care of everything. Just look at how good they've been at running the country so far (/sarcasm)

Sadly, the GOP didn't do too well before that.
