chperplt got a new gig. Hoorah!

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Hope Jeff Helgeson is setting you up right.

I saw allegiant air at aus. What do they do mostly charter?

AAY scheduled flights, check out the link below

http://www.allegiantair.com/route_map.htm

In addition to scheduled flights on this link, we have a pilot domicile in RNO and IFP for Harrah's Casinos for supplemental scheduled charter work. We also used to fly for Apple Vacations to Mexico and the DR (Punta Cana). AAY is the busiest during the month of March flying the NCAA basketball teams around as well as the rest of the schedule.

Allegiant Air is scheduled to have 19 planes by the end of 2005 and around 30 - 35 MD80s by the end of 2007.

Congrats. to Randy!

Congrats on the job, it is always nice to see one more pilot get to live life without having to commute!! Is AAY still hiring? I frequently monitor their website and haven't seen any listings for pilots lately.

Thanks for the article, some good reading. I have been watching AAY for a while and it really looks like a good gig. Unfortunately, if I was fortunate enough to be offered a position with them I would then be commuting! I think it would be worth the price though. Good luck.

Congrats on Allegiant!

I keep seeing the MD's in places like Peoria and Sioux Falls and had no idea who they were. Well now I know.
