From the freightdog side, I'd like to add my thoughts and prayers too. It's a sad time now in aviation with the loss of crew and passengers.

...

I am Ex-TWA (forever TWA) but I knew no less than 10 people on 800. I miss the ones that I knew and I still think about the ones that I never knew. It does get easier, but we must learn to not repeat mistakes, and fix what we can.

I am proud to be an aviator, and I promise to those that count on me, that I will take the lessons of those aviators before me, and make them proud!

Well said.

May the peace of God with surpasses all understanding find those of you that grieve today.

Those of us on the Corporate Aviation side are thinking of and praying for those that have lost loved ones on 5191.

I am deeply saddened to hear of the losses. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. Gone but not forgotten. God bless.

May they all rest in peace, and may God bless their families - the ones who are suffering the most. F/O James, be strong and pull through, bro. To all Comair employees, my deepest and most sincere condolences. 73

Such a sad, sad loss. To all those in the Comair family, and the families of the passengers, this Horizon pilot hopes that you can find some solace in your grief, and that time will heal your wounds.

May your loved ones rest in peace.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

God bless from those of us at PSA

From The entire Republic Airways Holdings Family, you will be missed..families are in our thoughts and prayers....

I have no right to speak for ALL ASA pilots, but I offer MY condolence.

The Comair pilots are our brothers. God Speed....

Brothers and sisters, if anything, learn from this event, take from it those lessons, and let what you learned serve as a tribute to those involved.

Thoughts and prayers to the families of those lost. James hang in there, pull through, and fly again.

RAH'ers are certainly pulling for you.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts, it's been a rough two days. There was no joy working today. My prayers go out to Jeff, Jim, and Kelly and their families. :(

Thank you all from one Comair pilot. Despite our petty differences, we are all a brotherhood of aviators, and understand like no others the responsibility we carry every day and the pain that comes when one of our brothers is unable to pull it off.

Surly Bonds

Oh, I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds-and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delirious burning blue
I've topped the windswept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew.
And, while with silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

- Officer John Gillespie Magee, Jr., RCAG 9/3/1941

God speed Flight 5191.......

God Speed

From all of us at AWAC

"If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane We would walk right up to heaven And bring you back again. No farewell words were spoken No time to say goodbye You were gone before we knew it And only God knows why Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow What it meant to lose you No one will ever know But now we know you want us To mourn for you no more To remember all the happy times Life still has much in store Since you'll never be forgotten We pledge to you today A cherished place within our heart Is where you'll always stay"

Peace
