No Steve is a fine lad and all but I'm not him. We just happen to have similar admiration for the old ATR. I think anyone who has actully flown the airplane will share our enthusiasm.

Straight up, G-money!

ATR drivaz forever, beeyotch! :pimp:

High end regional? Is that like the Escort with the CD changer and sunroof vs. the one with just the cassette? I believe they still call both an Escort.

The reason for my earlier message was to point out the ostentatious attitude of some of your fellow pilots. I jump on Xjet all the time and have met some extremely nice people with great attitudes. I also remember a flight where the Capt. at the gate started bad mouthing Colgan and asked if I knew that Xjet was hiring. Pretty freaking arrogant if you ask me. I smiled, thanked him for the ride, and went on my way. A ride home was more important than arguing about his lack of class.

Skywest and now Colgan HAS taken many routes we used to do in the jet.

...just like EJ have taken routes "they" (Continental) used to do in larger airplanes. So I guess you've taken flying from Continental pilots.

Actually, Colgan, Skywest, Commutair and EJ didn't "take" anything, Continental assigned the flying. The only entity that "owns" the flying is Continental and they can spread it around as they choose.

If people did not jump at the first scumbag airline *cough*MESA*cough*cough* that hired them and waited 2 more weeks to get hired at the higher end regionals, then we wouldn't see half the whip-sawing we do.

But it won't happen until some miracle arises and supply of idots stops popping out of pilot-factories ready to "get their time" on their way to that job at united. I suggest 135 hiring mins at the 121 level to put a dent in it.

You assclown. XJ was one of the first to drop their mins to 600/100 for people coming from pilot mills.

Obviously you missed the whole tone of my post. My whole point is that they aren't OUR routes in the first place. They are routes we used to do, now done by someone else. Notice how I said they have taken routes we used to do-not OUR routes. It cracks me up how many of my fellow pilots think we are entitled to certain flying just because we are XJT.

I'll try to be more obvious in the future for you.

Yep, I did miss the tone. I wasn't attacking you, in case you missed MY tone.

Yeah I have experienced similar treatment by shuttle pilots and some mainline pilots. But for the most part the mainline guys are alot more polite then the regional guys. I think many of them made their bones in a TP flying through crappy weather by hand.

Is Colgan buying ALL the Saab 2000's that Chicago Express was in line to buy?
