IMHO on the topic of the thread:

Money doesn't matter as much. A wide body Captain is not looking for sympathy from regional pilots drooling over major’s forums who can't afford for their wives to quit working.
What matters is the judgment and punishment by the superiors.
If the Captain decides that a crewmember needs better rest so be it. Those who try to sleep in an exit row month after month would understand. To those who don’t – it’ll be hard to explain.

You know there are always exceptions but if the PIC is not able to be in charge of his own aircraft then what is left to be desired when it comes to the airlines.

Helloooooooooo. FAA, where are you? I know you're on this board somewhere because you sure arn't out doing your job. I hope this Captain gets the best lawyer money can buy. Where is ALPA on this subject?

ALPA will shortly act in this matter once they realize they will not be receiving any dues from this individual during his 30 day suspension.

kc81900....haha...you hit the nail square on the head.....I just find it a bit odd to see the Names Continental and Alpa in the same sentence, without a string of expletives in between....
