As a furlough i agree but what is the time line with that?

If a merger is announced, the last thing management will want is a slow down because of a pilot contract or language...this is where the pilot group will have an upper hand as long as we do not go for totally unreasonable requests that would make the company not do the merger but those requests really have to be "off" by alot. Staying strong is all that I am saying, and getting everyone back in the seat is not unreasonable.
 
NO MERGER ...until EVERYONE IS RECALLED...NO EXCEPTIONS.

If we merge, we are going to furlough additional pilots. You think we should recall 1500 pilots only to re-furlough them again along with an additional 1000+? Puff, puff, pass man.

Ha...more furloughs?? After all the UAL downsizing...highly unlikely. Park the RJs...age 65 right around the corner...who's smoking now?

I don't think management gives a rip about employee performance. The execs in place will make a ton of money because "mergers are hard work."

Then they will leave and the new execs will make a ton of money because the merger created a lot of broken glass and "cleaning up this mess is hard work."

The merger will be for the lawyers and bankers who want to make themselves indispensable by creating chaos.

Lawyers don't make money in the marriage. They make money in the divorce because it's always messy--like a merger.

The employees will the last to know and the first to go.
