I'm waiting too.

Ooops.

Hey ill admit I called that one wrong. How many cmr guys admitted that when the TA vote went the way it should have. No worries however all posturing. Paycuts will survive and we will thrive!!

What's that...ensure the liquidation of the company?

Of course you're going to be happy, you're going to grow due to our demise.

BVT1151

BVT: Go back in that church and repent for all the rim-jobs you gave to your fellow pilots. While you're at it, bring Dangelo along and see if you boys can stand on your own two feet for once without the crutch of the flight attendants holding you and your pay up. Maybe that $9 mil/yr will cause your demise. You may actually have to go find a different job. At least the Comair F/A's still have their souls.

This is HUGE . . . all airline management was watching this- as were DALPA and NWALPA. Who would have thought that the FA's at a regional would be the first ones to show some testicular fortitude. Way to go, ladies!

Speaking of ladies, this second quote was dead on, too:

D'angelho is under Fred's desk trying to help any way he can.

D'Angelputz, I've read your posts, and you display a scab mentality. Get out of your parent's basement, find a girl instead of a farm animal, start a family, and then try to live on what you're willing to work for now, and then come back and try to talk to us- I can't wait . . . . or, better yet, just go back to working at Taco Bell . . . Either way, you won't be missed.

Congratulations F/A's

COMAIR F/A's Stand Unified!

WAY TO GO!

I am very proud of the F/A's at CMR. They stand strong and proud. I have seen other unions and F/A's give in, give up and just don't care. CMR F/A's I salute you!!!!

so what is Freddies next move? my guess is he will go back to the Pilots and Mech's and try to get them to implement the negotiated cut's even without the F/A's deal

Any re-negotiation will meet stiff resistence. He ,I'm sure, is fully aware of this.

I would be suprised if D'angelho hasn't already suggested that to Fred. He probably offered up most cuts from the pilots to undercut, I mean be more competitive, with other carriers.

Call it what you want, posturing, threatening, either way they told managment to Fook OFF we will walk with that pay cut. Either way the company has to negotiate a deal that is to the liking of the FA's and not just what is imposed.

The judge in CMR 1113 request against the FAs said the contract remains!

The FAs have won the battle, the pilots are a different story.

Will they win the war? That is the more important question. I am afraid not, but I live in hope.

Oh, never mind. I thought this was a thread about the FAs, but I see it has deteriorated into D'doosch bashing. Can't you folks all just put him on the ignore list. he is a weenie, so ignore him.

You are correct. This is monumental in that it has now set a precedence which never existed before to my knowledge. Several different times over the past two decades airline managements and unions have come close to a federal ruling, but in the end they always struck a deal. This one went all the way.

In the long run, this could be a major turnaround for labor organizations… and to think a bunch of ladies from a regional airline did it! My hat is off to you all, job well done. I was shocked JC Lawson put out a letter to pressure the FA’s one day prior to the judges ruling. He should be investigated for conspiracy with the company. After everything he’s been involved in over the last 7 years, he needs to go.

But CMR pilot apathy runs deep within the ranks, and it was never anything but a commuter airline where some guys stayed to die (because they thought the RJ was cool), and others went to get turbine time.

I do find it quite hilarious however that all the union groups in the past played nothing but hardball when it came contract time. They would scream bloody murder than anything that wasnt at least X% bigger than the last airline was unacceptable and theyd "burn the mofo down". So they start "slowing down" the airline. FLY THE FARs they would say. Call it as it is, etc. etc. Make em hurt throw their on time #s in the toilet. SO how is that exactly ethical? So are you saying its acceptable to only follow the FARs and call the time correct when it suits you? So its ok to violate the FARs and lie about the times when you get what you want? Then you threaten to shut the airline down because you can't buy your houseboat and all those toys? Ya unions have never played hardball they have ALWAYS negotiated in good faith! Now the company shows unions a little hardball and they scream bloody murder. Oh the irony!! Sorry but it was years of senseless union hardball that has led to this. If unions could learn to control their emotions and negotiate realistic contracts we all wouldnt be in this mess. VIVE LA PAYCUTS!

Wolfpackpilot, what letter do you speak of that JC put out that was "to pressure the FA’s one day prior to the judges ruling"? Have you seen this letter or is it a case of "They" said? :)

What is funny, is the FA's are running around saying they won.

I guess they won a battle, but don;t care if they lose the war.

While I congratulate the FA's for their stance, let us hope they can eventually reach mutual agreement or this might well prove to be a Pyrrhic victory.

"Another such victory ... and we are undone".

Yea, there was a compnay wide conference call today and another at 11am tomorrow.

FB said they contacted teh FA's today to see what is available to work out. Though it seems now that the company has lost a fairly hefty leverage piece.

I am curios to how this will affect the ALPA and IAM contracts when they negotiate, Cause I can not see the FA's agreeing to 8.9 mil now.

Well I jsut noticed that the last FA offer was 7.2mil, I am sure with some creative accounting methods they could make it 8.9 and get all the deal in place.

Plus in the LOA for the pilots is doesn't say 8.9mil, It referes to a super-secret document filed with the court.

It will all work out somehow. Paycuts will survive, comair will thrive and the haters will continue to hate. You see all the other airlines were just dying for us to liquidate. I tell them to go pound sand. NO GROWTH FOR YOU. At least no growth due to comair that is. We be alive and kicking ! HOLLA

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE TO SEE ALL THE MGMT PILOTS SQUIRM THEIR ARSES OFF WHEN THIS VERDICT HIT THERE CONFERENCE CALL, ESP MP! I AM IN 100% AGREEMENT THAT THIS HAS EFFECTIVELY TURNED THE TIDE FOR UNIONIZED WORKFORCES IN BK. IN MY OPINION FB'S GUT REACTION LETTER THAT WAS POSTED ALL OVER CINCYS PAPERS WAS ENLIGHTENING. IT SHOWS HOW MUCH 'THEY' REALLY GIVE A HOOT ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES. IE WE MGMT WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO SHOVE OUR POCKETS FULL OF COIN AND GIVE YOU 'EMPLOYEES' WHATEVER MOUSE DROPPINGS ARE LEFT. COMAIR'S MGMT WAS CLEARLY GOING TO USE REPLACEMENT FA'S AND ESSENTIALLY FIRE THE REMAINDER, SIMILAR TACTIC NWA DID TO THEIR MECHS. (TOO BAD IN NWA'S CASE THE MECHS STRUCK B4 BK). I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND WHY ANY PERSON WOULD WANT TO REMAIN AN EMPLOYEE AT THAT COMPANY AFTER READING FB'S BOO HOO HUDEY LETTER. SERIOUSLY HE IS THE PRESIDENT OR CEO OR WHATEVER HIS TITLE IS, THAT LETTER SOUNDS LIKE A 2ND GRADER WHINING ABOUT HOW JOHNNY STOLE HIS SEAT AT LUNCH. YOU NEED 8.9 MILLION FAST, HOW BOUT THE MULTIPLE LAYERS OF MGMT TAKE A FAT 50% PAYCUT IMMEDIATELY, ADD THAT UP AND YOUR CLOSE TO YOUR 8.9 MILLION. I THINK EVERY DUES PAYING ALPA OR UNIONIZED MEMBER SHOULD BE OFFERING THE CHANCE TO PURCHASE LUNCH/DINNER/BEERS FOR EVERY COMAIR FA FOR THEIR INTESTINAL FORTITUDE THE FA'S ENDURED AND GAVE ALL UNIONIZED PERSONS ONE THING: AN END TO THE SPIRAL DOWNWARD
CHEERS, AND TOMORROW SHOULD BE BUY A COMAIR FA DINNER DAY, OR SINCE NO ONE CAN AFFORD THAT, HOW ABOUT A RESOUNDING, THANK YOU!

I KNOW WHY THE CAGE BIRD SINGS.

Why I don't share any of your viewpoints, I do think there are a number of people hoping CMR goes down. Then again people need to look out for themselves, and it isn't personal it is jsut business. Noone wants to be the one that takes one for the team. It jsut kind a happens.

That is kinda why i'm not outragousely worried, I haven't been here that long, so if it tanks, other places will be hiring and I will only lose a couple years seniority. Not too horrible considering I have friends that have already been furloughed twice from other airlines.

I hope it survives, I enjoy working here and the people i have met and flown with are great. I don't wish this crap on anyone.
