Hey all B19 is right again.....you do not have a right to a job. You do not have a right to the job you have. You do not own the job you have now, the owners of the company do. You work at your company because the owners need your ability, your ethic, your knowledge etc. You work there because the owners decided to hire and keep you and you decided to give them your time and experience, they pay you for this and you give them whatever was agreed upon when you hired on.

Unions change this basic law of nature and try to force square pegs in round holes. Every state and company that unions are prevalent the state is less wealthy and each company that has unionization is less profitable. Right to work states are financially better off than non right to work states, have less unemployment on average, and have a higher tax base per capita.

If I don't like what the company is doing I quite and find work where I do like it. If I don't do this I become like every other union guy I know who still hates whatever it is but has no power to change anything about it cause he's waiting for the union to fix it......you know 75% of everything I don't like I work out with the company a way to make it work for me and them......amazing system this free enterprise experiment......I give to them they give to me we work out the issues together, they don't like what I give, they get rid of me, I don't like what they give I get rid of them......huh

It seems to me ... every country that doesn't allow unions is a Totalitarian State .. . it was the Unions that broke Communism in Poland.

"The scientific concept of dictatorship means nothing else but this: power without limit, resting directly upon force, restrained by no laws, absolutely unrestricted by rules." Soviet dictator Vladimir Lenin
More concisely:
"Everything within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state." Benito Mussolini
Il Duce, Benito 19 and Totalitarianism?
"Everything within the Management, nothing outside the Management, nothing against the Management...
... [management] power without limit, resting directly upon force, restrained by no [labor] laws, absolutely unrestricted by rules. [no CBA] "

Compare with Ronald Reagan:
REAGAN: By outlawing Solidarity, a free trade organization to which an overwhelming majority of Polish workers and farmers belong, they have made it clear that they never had any intention of restoring one of the most elemental human rights—the right to belong to a free trade union.

REAGAN: The Polish government has trampled underfoot to the UN Charter and Helsinki accords. It has even broken the Gdańsk Agreement of 1980 by which the Polish government recognized the basic right of free trade unions and to strike.

REAGAN: These are the values inspiring those brave workers in Poland … They remind us that where free unions and collective bargaining are forbidden, freedom is lost.

i dont like unions either. good concept, but they took it a bit too far.

I think everyone should be fired.

I believe in the right to unionize, I just don't agree with the union philosophy. Gunfyter, communist countries also had government run health care. That doesn't mean everyone who supports Obamacare in the US is a communist. It doesn't necessarily correlate, kind sir.

California is a right to work state. At will employment, has been corrupted by and basically we have a huge union called the EEO. So not all right to work states are better off.

Whether there is a union or not, I don't think the company should just throw me away if I get sick and can't work ... after 13 years. What can be done about this?

You should have disability insurance and savings and maybe learn new skills if you can't fly any more. Why should company pay you when you don't work there any more? The company is not your mommy.

Listen up dip********************. This has been addressed in this thread ad nauseum. No one expects the company to keep paying you. They expect that they would hold your position if you get better and get your medical back. Ergo, not firing you.

You must be drunk or the stupidest guy I have ever seen on here.

once again.....its amazing his brain can generate enough electricty to get get the big ole gulfstream flying.

I dont care thats he's a management scab, I do take offence to the utter disrespect for fellow pilots though. I wish I wasnt retired, i put him in the right seat and make him cry like a bitch.
