I'm sorry if this info has been posted before. I've searched under "Citation X pay", "X pay", "750 pay," and a few others with no luck.

Whats the average pay for a Citation X Captain on the East Coast? If you guys have the info from the Pro Pilot Magazine salary survey, that would be great. I don't have my issue anymore. I don't have a type in it yet, and it is a Fortune 500 company.

Thanks and Happy New Year.

I heard most east coast Citation X Captains make about 60K, (plus perdiem, minus Union dues)

....and all the rudys catering and Hilton points you want...

;)

USC,

I'm guessing 90-105K range on the east coast. Maybe a little more. I have an extra set of initial books if you need them.

Good luck-

Thanks for the info. Those figures help. It's nice to have a ballpark figure of what to expect.

You'll probably want to ask for higher due to all the non-aviation duties you have to do.

Also don't forget about the department closing in a couple of years and the owner selling the pland and the boat.

Right back at you G200

I am asking for $120K... not on the east coast though.

I would think that would be the min on the east coast - especially HPN area where this guy seems to be asking. COL is simply too high to get paid 90K.

120K MIN. on the east coast for a X capt??? Damn, I need to renegotiate my salary. What does NBAA say?

SCT

75k as a falcon capt? cringe.

Of course if you're in fargo 75k can get you a really nice iglo.

That is "great" that you work for a company that pays you what you are worth. That is how it should be. The co. I work for has no clue. When they start losing people they will recognize they have a problem.

I have been their too!! My last company tried to make me sign a training contract 6 months after I started!!! Other than on call 24/7, I really like my job. I have never had a quick call, usually we get 24 hours notice.

96k and 3 weeks of vacation.

now you know 2 oh yeah and 300 others.

The sad thing in all of this is that I have *YET* to meet a single person who makes what the NBAA survey claims is "average" or "median."

Maybe it's my location. I suppose living on one of the left coasts you'd need to make that to survive but perhaps midwest and south salary scales are deflated or something.

I see these salary surveys and I scoff cuz everyone I know thinks they are wishful thinking. Wish they were true I really do.

I don't know a single X driver over $75K a year.

WOW.

I made 85K in California as a X captain at my last job. Part 135 and on call 24/7, I was gone 25 days a month. Accepted this job in New England (which is home for me), part 91 and loving it. They pay VERY well with the hopes of attracting good people. We have a great department. BTW, our FO's make 75K!!!
