It's OK, they even let me go at FL470 on the Tokyo- New York record run.


ATC cooperates on record attempts, giving you unrestricted climbs, requested altitudes, direct routing and so forth. They are involved from the start, they know what you're doing and have to log the official take-off and landing times.

Not trying to bust your balls--but I thought you had posted you fly for a company up in the Norhteast---by MMU-not Gulfstream-didn't Gulfstream Pilots do the record flight to Tokyo?

Yes... Gulfstream Pilots did the New York to Tokyo record flights and the Narita to Teterboro flight. Check your PM.
