I guess I just don't understand. Flying an airplane isn't that hard. I don't think I would fit in too well at a fractional gig. Have fun watching the CA fly boys. I have to say I'm stunned.

As someone mentioned, they are weird about fo's flying, you can fly pax legs after 250 hrs in type, but few captains allow it. I have gone out for a 7 day tour and only flown 1 leg out a dozen.
Why is that? Are the FO's less capable when there are passengers on board? That doesn't sound like a good deal for either pilot...I wouldn't want to be the FO working the radios all week but I wouldn't want to be the Captain flying every leg either.

Flying a Citation X isn't that bad - there are a lot of guys who would like to be in your shoes.
That's just it....he isn't flying a Citation X, he's riding in the right front seat. That would get real old real quick.

Don't get me wrong, I know that plenty of NJA pilots act that way - I couldn't explain why if I tried. However, I know a number of other "CRM-friendly" pilots there as well who are normal in terms of switching legs. I would say it is largely dependent upon the Captain flying - not every NJA Captain acts that way.

Hey, sitting in the FO seat of a Citation X doing ZIP would still be a lot better than sitting on your a$$ at this computer checking out Flightinfo all day...

Beware the "revenue" at fractionals...

At 121's, we're sheltered from the attitudes of pax, but at a fractional, you have the likes of Martha Stewart telling you it's too cold in the cabin or the shrimp are too small!

I'd lose my job the first day telling her where to stick it!

Make sure you have the temperament to allow rich asswholes to treat you like sh#t if you decide the fractional thang.

not to say they won't be around, but sounded like CHQ is running on borrowred time.

First of all, learn how to spell.

Second, mind telling the rest of us where you heard that/made it up?
