The Chief pilots don't have anything to do with the pilot hiring at NetJets.

Address it to "Pilot Recruiter."

That's how I would do it. ;)
 
You need to address it to " Dear mr/mrs/ms owner services rep

You get on their good side you are golden! Forget any pilot letters of rec too.. you need to go find you an owner services rep and get them to write you a letter.. maybe if you shine their shoes they might find you worthy of a job at NETJETS
 
This is no longer your normal pilot hiring department. What was up is now down. What was black is now white.
You may think your resume with all your hours and pilot jobs is the best thing on paper. But now that job you had serving at a restaurant, or that time working at Home Depot, is just as important. ANY customer service angle you can bring out in your resume/app/interview is a HUGE step up.
I agree, LOR are worth nothing. We are regressing at NJA in what the word of a current line pilot is worth. :mad:

You asked for the chief pilot's name to "throw them an app." We explained that we have multiple chief pilots, and none of them are the appropriate person to address an application. This isn't an airline, and our chief pilots don't have anything to do with pilot hiring.

Had you been paying any attention to the other NetJets threads, you'd see that there's been a big shakeup in the hiring department, and the line pilots are out of the loop. The "face" of the hiring department, Derinda M., is no longer with NetJets. It's a whole new group running the pilot hiring department, and we truly have no idea to whom you should address a letter. Fischman's suggestion is the one I would use.

Yes, they really are calling themselves the "Talent Acquisition Team" on the correspondence they send out now.

Yes, they really are putting significant weight into what our Owner Services department thinks of a pilot applicant.

But what do we know? We're just "losers."

Flight attendants too. If the NJA F/A's ratify the LOA they have been presented, all future NJI F/A's will come from the NJA F/A group. If the ones bidding don't meet the two year company longeveity requirement, they can fill the positions with newer people up to and including new hires. So that means, as with the pilots, as of November the only way to NJI is through NJA.

So, hey, "Talent Acquisition Team"! "Talent has several meanings ;)

huh? Perhaps this isn't the place for you after all. On second thought, why don't you "throw your app" toward the CP and let them know what you said. That will really help your chances.

With that attitude you need to think about a career as a single pilot. Try some company flying a Carivan in the Congo, India or the Middle East. There are to many good guys looking who would be greatful for the advise they gave, I don't want some boner face like you getting into this industry.
 
Customer service experience

I know nothing of the NJA pilot hiring process, but the comments on this thread continue show the pilots' continued myopia. Flying ability is by far the most important qualification for a pilot. But unlike an airline pilot, a NJA pilot is not just responsible for safely flying the jet. They are the face of the customer for the company. I have seen some members of my OS team once when I was in Columbus. However, the pilots are the ones who interface with me and my family for every aspect of every flight. This makes customer service experience very important. Most passengers on an airliner do not interface with the pilot, therefore, if he or she is the grumpiest or rudest person on the plane it does not matter (except to the co-pilot).

Seriously, address it to "Pilot Recruiter" and check out www.netjetspilotjobs.com. There is a great deal of info you will want to look at before applying to NetJets. As NJAowner stated, this job isn't for everyone. Make sure we are the right fit for you.

At Netjets everyone at the company is Owner Services.

Yes we have a department call Owner Services, but as I explained to a rep recently, we both do the same job. The only difference is that the reps are back office Owner Services, the pilots are front office Owner Services.
