I quess we should of used that reasoning last year, post 911, when we told them no thanx to new aircraft if it meant giving concessions.BoilerUP said:Comair did not negotiate their contract in a post-9/11 environment. They negotiated during one of the biggest booms in commercial aviation history, when every airline was "rasing the bar" on compensation.
Comair did not have their company trying to start up a non-union, alter-ego carrier to take their current flying.
Chautauqua is not Comair, nor are or were their situations the same. If you have a problem with CHQ flying DL Connection, take it up with DAL managment. "THEY" took away "YOUR" flying, not any Chautauqua pilot.
Imagine having to fly with this guy:AFELLOWAVIATOR said:Not a single FO I fly with has a good thing to say about the CHa pilots when we see one of their planes at our terminal in CVG.
Usually it is something in the order of "scumbags, whores, back stabbers".
Just telling you how it is.

Trust me man, I really dont care what someone like you thinks. And, when I see you in the airport, I am still gonna say "Hey, how's it going?".
Kill 'em with kindness...
Lifes' too short to be so upset all the time. I guess I am picking up the general attitude at CHQ!
Have fun dude!

For one thing, it's not your terminal... Do you go around lifting your leg to the walls and tugs to mark your territory?

Cha pilots say, "hey! lets go cheap and maybe we can get some of the flying Comair is going to do !".
This is the kind of people you would be associated with.

There are some things you either have or you don't have. Dignity, pride, and self worth. We know what we are worth and have the pride and dignity to stand up for what's right. Too bad some pilot groups don't. ie..Cha

As for us, we are all just pilots. We took the job that offered a class date first in most cases and we have no say as to where we fly or who we fly them for.
I will say that I love my QOL at Chautauqua and I firmly believe that our work rules are some of the best out there. I am also very impressed with all of my co-workers and that strong ethic everybody has. You'll very seldom find a CHQ pilot that won't smile and say "hi" in the terminal or complain about work.
Improved pay, 16-18 days off, scope with Republic, no junior manning, paid medicals, improved benefits, outstanding employee group.......I'm not seeing too many negatives here.
