As for the cars... you wont find a more enjoyable ride than these new BMW's. My girlfriend has a new 328i and its 10 inside and out.

I've got 2 Beemers an X3 and a R1200RT. I love the bike, less impressed with the car. I'd love to get one of the new Cayenne GTS's - with 450+ HP and a manual transmission, whats not to like? - but I'll have to wait for the next contract for that! I've always been a 911 fan but living in Vermont I'd only get to drive it 7 months of the year, hence the need for a 4x4.
