Extremely pathetic!!! I guess he couldnt afford one on his salary!
You guess he couldn't afford one?
The guy works for Mesa, of course he couldn't afford one!!
He is a "tool"
What?Tragic, I think I might know the instructor: http://www.kpho.com/news/13687892/detail.html
Wow.
Hopefully this chump loses his ATP. I'm pretty sure that stealing from passengers while in uniform violates the "Be of good moral character." requirement.
If I were the other guy, I don't think I'd have gone flying with someone who just lost his career between security and the gate. Talk about mentally/emotionally unfit for duty.

Just when I think I have heard everything.....someone surprises me.
I don't know what is worse, a regional pilot who will fly anything the mainline management can throw at them at the expense of someone else or a regional pilot who has such poor judgement that he would steal something from a customer.
Sad times indeed...I hear a giant sucking sound and it is the sound of my chosen profession going down the drain.
Maybe ALPA can get him his job back.
A350
I felt the same way 10 years ago when that UAL mainline psycho was arrested for killing his wife and sawing her legs off in an attempt to dispose of her body. The drunken mainline Airbus idiots pissed me off too.
Heck, J.O. will probably promote him to VP of flight ops...they have a lot in common!
What the? you've got to be kidding!I thought that was a Delta pilot who killed his wife, froze her, and put her through a wood chipper into a lake, Fargo style. He got caught because when he returned the rented wood chipper, they found bone fragments inside. Lesson learned: buy the wood chipper, don't rent.

I guess anybody can slip through the hiring process there as easy as the regionals.
WHOOOOAAA THERE!!!!!I wasn't there, I've not seen the tapes.
I don't know this guy at all, but I think perhaps we should not rush to judge. He is, MESA and all, one of us.
(Now, if the dumb sumb!tch did do this, he deserves to have his ATP revoked.)
Police said Christopher Newton, 34, was spotted on camera on Thursday taking a iPod out of someone else's container while going through a security checkpoint.
It doesn't surprise me that a pilot stole the ipod.
From the rules of flight info.... here ya go.

I will not stand by and watch you guys destroy someone because they made a fullish mistake. Not to mention the liability that allowing such behavior imposes on us.
... and in a realted news story, a teenager at Jacksonville airport reported his hair gel and backpack missing.
