It really does not mater what you or I think the 767 VS DC8 cost to operate is...it is what JH thinks the cost is which is my point! I am not negotiating with ATI... ATSG/JH is.... and that is where the bullet meets the bone. Which is also why the pay will be lower IMHO.

I wonder what nitefr8 knows that we all don't? I just luv know it alls....

Well...he did say in his opinion, so we're all allowed those. If you're a patient man, then opinons are proven either right or wrong (or in between). And I do believe the JH will be involved in ATI negotiating, but from an overview distance....at least till the 12th hour.

I don't know where ATI will end up pay-wise compared to ...anyone...1224/ABX if you wish. With the unique ops a apple v. apple will be difficult and wherever the numbers lay there will be sharp-shooting on boths sides. Realistically, no one has 'exact' matching scales to another carrier since even the little dynamics pile up directing CBA's being different.

Time will tell, I for one am glad to have a job while that time goes by!

Oddly, and I have a apologize for it as well, the thread jacking on Captiol is pretty wide....I'd be glad to see further "ATI" discussions held on their own foot.
 
I have no A&P ....just trying to be optimistic for an interview. How many ABX guys are taking pilot slots to Capitol do u know of? Are there any guys coming off the street to CAC?

Just so you know AgreenFO, I have two buddies that just got hired over at CAC and they had no heavy time or an A&P. When I worked for KHA the pay was just about the same, and that was 13 years ago----good luck though. As for Amerijet, my short time there was short for a reason, and I would not recommend that one.
 
I bet you are a whole lot of fun on a 5 hr flight... it's ok..every company needs a knowitall...

And I am sure you are a breath of fresh air..NOT. If everyone does not agree with you they are a know-it-all, bite me! I have not posted on this thread to flame...I said many times IMHO..again IMHO. But what I have said has also been based on what I do know to be factual whether you choose to believe it or not! Don't shoot the messenger.

I heard the following particulars:
$6,000 signing bonus
DOS (date-of-signing) Aug. 01, 2010 is an 8% raise :bawling:
DOS +1 = 1% raise :bawling:
DOS +2 = 1% raise :bawling:
Per Diem increase is a nickel to $1.80 :bawling:

The new contract is " suppose " to have improvements for the pilots QOL issues, but that remains to be seen in due time. A BIG concern for the pilot group is fatiguing schedules, which management has acknowledged.... but words are cheap.

Ok I am wrong you are right. ATI will get a 20% pay raise....be the highest paid ATSG carrier AND receive all the new aircraft! LOL

(sorry for the thread hijack, my original comment was ABX pilots on furlough will have first chance at any openings at Capitol. so far those contacted have been accepting the position.)

Never said we were getting 20% raise, never said we seek to be the highest paid ATSG carrier, never said we will get all new aircraft.

I only said that your statement that ATI pilots WERE WILLING to work for less to get ahead was full of caca.

But since you know it all... like your statement above "so far those contacted have been accepting the position"

The guy that said there are none in the next class must be full of crap too.

All I know is that we are hiring 8 of your compadres and are glad to be able to offer them a job, while you are the highest paid of the 3 and 200-300 are on the streets....

Make that 12 compadres. And as FWI, ABX should be recalling 8 here in the near future, while ATI is poised for another similar sized class in late Aug or Sept. (more compadres).

Recently they put out a bid that closes on Aug 2nd for 8 DC8 FOs coming from ABX. There is also a bid for 14 76 FO's. After they fill the 76 from DC8 folks then they will decide how many off the streets will come to the 76 if any.
