Maybe Its just me but, a Union for a pilot who flys Piston Poppers is as silly as a union for janitors.

What's your point? Is it skill level? A janitor could easily be trained to pull gear in the right seat of an RJ. Try hand-flying 170kt approaches into Logan all day with 2400 RVR, a 20kt tailwind and no co-pilot. You earn every penny and then some.

Please, a 402 is private pilot stuff.

I fly an RJ and i must say Cape Air has great pilots, who safely fly old airplanes in poor wx all the time. (I have non reved around on them some) all hail the prop turners.

Agreed. Cape Air has some of the best sticks out there! I'm sure I couldn't hold a candle to some of the work they do........12 times a day!

I just wish they went with ALPA instead of the piano tuners union.

Its a lot easier to replace a 402 driver than it is a jet driver. This is why a union will never work the company can let you guys strike and simply replace you. There would be absolutely no consequences for the line crossers. No one even knows who the heck cape air is hardly

Hey, could you please walk my resume into CAL when you get there? I have lots of 402 time. Or wait....that doesnt count? Wait a minute here....Ive got no skills whatsoever...I dont fly RJ's. Im not gonna make it in this business am I? Maybe I should just turn in my certificates right now and call it a day?

Piston poppers? Yeah....ITS JUST YOU.

WOW, whats with the hostility here? I've jumped with these guys before. I even got to ride right seat. Honestly most days the "OH WOW" factor is gone for me but this stuff was freaking cool! These guys are flying 10 legs a day, in IMC to mins every approach! Hand flying many times single pilot! How can any one of us say they are just 402 drivers? Next time think of them when your at FL350 and the hardest part of your day is finishing your sudoku.

The fact is I dont need to fly a 402. I do just fine where im at with comair. But hey have fun trying to make a union there as it gets busted by low timers anyway. Remember rome is burning

I guess everyone forgets that Cape Air has ATRs and a 121 cert.

irrelevant, you are absolutely easily replaceable. Long live strike busters who aren't afraid to tell union peeps their demands are ridiculous!!!

The record is 24 legs in one day I believe.
