Calling all Mac Users

I'm a Mac user and I have an automatic transmission... ORM = HIGH!

It gives access to people who have no business using a computer.

That will be a real shock to those of us who take great advantage of its UNIX underpinnings. (You know UNIX -- it's the thing that most of the internet runs on!)

And I can program the FMS very well, thank you.

you need the browser Opera, Safari is not the best at reading or figuring out html. Firefox works well, but OPERA is better. CA1900, were you at CommutAir?

Yo gotta get one of these fly*ss notebooks. For real!

Ive never in all my life bought a computer product that worked when I plugged it in. My wife who hates computers is still up rippin CD's to the Ipod. Kids love it, momma loves it, and Daddy is man today! All for just $3500.00.

Seriously, this computer rocks like nothing Ive ever seen.

I liken the Mac experience to any other appliance in my home--it works when I want it.

Seriously, think about all the cr@p your PC puts you through. Would you accept that from your toaster? Or a table saw?

Opera is indeed very good, and is now free. I just hadn't used it in a while, so it kinda slipped from my mind.

Firefox will still likely be my primary because of its plug-in system, but O is definitely a great one to keep on hand. Its "speed-dial" front page is very slick!

And yes, I was indeed at CommutAir; finally left last year for NJA, and am very happy with the move.

He's seen the light! Every little detail, from the charge LEDs on the battery right down the box the computer came in, is designed with a purpose, not just thrown together to pad the feature list.

Glad you're having a blast with it; it only gets better!

LOL, he must have gotten the grand-daddy machine, with the giant display and all the trimmings! Mine was $1299, and they come as cheap as $1099 (and very well-equipped at that price). Then again, I'm just an FO, so I get what I can afford.

Plenty of knowledgeable nerds have Macs these days. I used to be a Linux systems administrator and web programmer. Somewhere in there I did some FORTRAN 77 and MATLAB programming as well.

The Macbook Pro has really become THE platform of choice for a lot of techies. I put X11 and Parallels on it and I can pretty much do anything.

Plus, there's nothing like sitting down in an FBO, opening the lid, and surfing the internet in 15 second while the poor guy with the Dell is still clicking away trying to set up a wireless connection.
