No it's not out yet... but, the Standing System Bid page now show the option for 787 IAH. That's a pretty strong indicator that the 787 will be on this next bid and that it will be a separate BES from the 777.

Let the tea-leave reading and flaming begin. According to many management types, it'll be out this week.

kinda like how it was supposed to be out in early august, then mid august and then september first?

PILOT BULLETIN
Date: September 2, 2010
Expires: September 16, 2010
File #: I – 10 –151
Subject: 12-03 System Bid
To: All Pilots
In order to meet the flying requirements associated with the 2011 business plan, System Bid 12-03 is being issued. This bid reflects several items that are important changes to our current staffing. I strongly encourage you to read about these changes before submitting your bids.
First, the introduction of the 787 aircraft is being accomplished through opening of IAH-787. Pilots bidding into either IAH-777 or IAH-787 should be aware that among other necessary predicates, in the event the FAA certifies the 787 as a common type rating with the 777 it is possible in the future that the IAH-777 and IAH-787 may be combined. If this combination occurs it will result in a subsequent System Bid allowing pilots to adjust their bid choices due to the merging of the Base/Equipment/Status’ (BESs). There would be no displacements from IAH-777 or IAH-787 equipment as a result of the BES combination. Anticipated 787 flying will include previously announced destinations of Auckland and Lagos as well as a seasonal destination from EWR. Training on the 787 is expected to begin in March 2011. Pilots awarded IAH-787 positions should anticipate returning to their previous aircraft following 787 training until needed for line operations based upon the 787 delivery dates. Current delivery plans, which remain subject to change, are for six 787’s to be delivered between the fall of 2011 and early 2012. Please keep in mind that this is a sufficiently complex process that is likely to be modified over the course of the next year. Pay rates for both the 777 and 787 are Widebody.
Second, this bid has sufficient vacancies to provide positions for all remaining furloughed pilots. It is anticipated that the recall letters for those pilots recalled on System Bid 11-05 as well as this bid will be sent out shortly following the close of this System Bid.
Third, this bid has an effective date beyond the normal 12 months in order to provide flexibility required for introduction of the 787. This has been reviewed by the System Staffing Committee in accordance with the provisions in Section 24, Part 3.C.3
Lastly your award on this System Bid will be your bidding position for your 2011 Vacation Bid award which is scheduled to open on September 24, 2010.
The 787 is New Equipment for this System Bid award and System Bids awarded during the 12 months following the award of this System Bid, as defined in the CBA, Section 24, Part 5.J.4. There are no New Bases on this System Bid.
In accordance with the Transition and Process Agreement Part 7-H, all contractual training freeze limitations pursuant to Section 24, Part 5.J incurred as a result of System Bid 11-05 or earlier will not be in effect for this System Bid. Additionally, the Company is waiving the hard period restrictions in Section 24 and these will not be in effect on this System Bid. However, should you be scheduled for training/advancement in October or November of 2010 and receive an award different than that to which you are scheduled, staffing requirements will determine the necessity of being trained and/or advanced to your previous award.
Information regarding the specifics of System Bid 12-03, including the number of vacancies, reductions, etc., can also be found on the Flight Operations Web Site under Bid Notification Posting. General information regarding System Bids can be found as the System Bid General Notes found under Division Communications | E-Documents on the Flight Operations website.

Congrats to our pilots on the street who will be coming back.

Glad to say I was wrong on guessing a flat bid. I will say though, other than openings on the B787; it's flat in EVERY other sub-base across the board.

Looking forward to my return, and looking forward to seeing a contract with a solid scope clause, that being at the top of my list of requirements.

Glad to see the furloughs coming back, you have been gone far too long, I will buy the first round in Europe when I fly with you guys!

I think mngmt made this bid look flat intentionally. Remember, all freezes and locks are lifted on this bid. Keeping it looking flat will make most stay where they are. This will limit training cycles(big cost). Look for the MOAB bid to come later this year or at latest January once everyone is frozen and locked again. THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO BID WHAT YOU WANT, USE IT OR LOSE IT!!!

Congrats to the CAL furloughs and the UAL furloughs that this bid will bring back to work!!!!

HOUSTON (AP) — A pilots' union says Continental Airlines Inc. is recalling 132 pilots who were furloughed back in 2008.
The union said Friday that Continental needs more pilots because of increased flying and the expected delivery of new planes.
The pilots are expected to start retraining in the last three months of the year.
Earlier this year, Continental recalled 15 of the 147 pilots it furloughed in September 2008.

Have any of the 15 "recalled" in May been trained?
