19 retirements until 03-12......morons

Why should they go? For the most part they are on top of the list getting the scheds they always wanted. Furthermore, as this contract drags on would you leave retro or the potential for a buyout behind by retiring? Sucks that are retirements are nil (thanks Prater and SWAPA!), but I can understand why no over 60 guy is pulling the rip cord just yet...

Very true. Similar to someone seeing someone of wealth and acting jealous by proclaiming, "idiot." Look in the mirror, pal.

I wonder why they put out a press release saying they're recalling 132 pilots "in addition to the 15 already recalled in May" or something like that. Already recalled?

System bids have a 12 month projection. All 148 plus 7 UAL pilots will be trained in Oct, Nov and Dec.

Curious as to where you are getting this info from.

from the pilot bulletin, i guess. I interpret it about the same.

Second, this bid has sufficient vacancies to provide positions for all remaining furloughed pilots. It is anticipated that the recall letters for those pilots recalled on System Bid 11-05 as well as this bid will be sent out shortly following the close of this System Bid.

The scheduled dates for this System Bid are shown below. It is anticipated that test award results will be available on the Flight Operations Web Site Wednesday September 8th, and Tuesday, September 14th. A Training Assignment Bid (TAB 10-12) will be posted immediately following this System Bid Award and will include training AND advancement positions for December as well as potential backfill training and advancement positions for
November. You should be prepared to use the TAB process outlined in Section 24, Part 3.E of the CBA for these training and advancement positions.

Im at the TOP of the recall list here at UAL....first I have heard of this?

"7" pilots from UAL ? Kinda weird uneven number?
