You would think a Continental employee for 10years of employment would get at least an interview.....Or hear something one way or another...

What do you mean by Continental employee? Apparently they are selecting the most qualified.

Now close three hundred NEW CAL pilots from XJET would like to be able to bump me and hundreds of other CAL pilots hired at CAL before them for pass travel. Please tell me I’m wrong and this isn’t the way it is. Maybe I’m confused but that doesn’t make sense.

Ummm, they already can bump you. Why should they be able to bump you at XJET but not when they go to CAL? I am sorry that you are sick and tired of the XJET pilot group's complaints and expectations. I'm sure that holier than thou ME ME ME ME ME ME ME attitude never wears thin. There was a time before YOU got hired when the two pilot groups worked together to achieve their respective goals.

Also, isn't this issue about getting from point A to point B? I don't know if you've noticed, but if you're trying to get somewhere in north america on CAL's system, there is a good chance it is on an Embraer. You seem to suggest every airline for themselves. Should a new hire at XJET bump you on a flight from IAH to IAD? I don't think that would be right. It works both ways. Luckily, every CAL pilot I have ran across in the jumpseat has been a class act. I guess the f--- express guys are few and far between.

Hey Rich,

I have to agree with the XJT pilots on this one. It is corporate policy to keep your date for pass privileges. Air Mic F/A's do even though they are a separate group. And the ramifications of them not means we go behind them when we ride on Express. Just let it go.

CAL MEC
Chairman’s Update
May 20, 2005
"This week, we welcomed aboard another class of new CAL pilots. The class included pilots whose class dates in late 2001 were cancelled due to the events of 9/11. CAL continues to train new hire pilots to fill vacancies on the latest system bid. Also, the Training Department has issued the call to all CAL pilots, seeking applicants for additional instructor positions on all fleet types. Those interested please go to the Flight Ops Page on the COAir website for details on how to apply."

Scarlet,
are you talking about yourself?
if so, me too, FA for 3 years...

that should say something.
