You know what I am going to call your bluff. You say you turned CAL down and not the other way around OK prove it!

You can PM me your name and you have my word that I will keep it confidential. You can forward me your e-mail from CAL with your job offer or fax me a copy of your CAL acceptance letter. If you don't have it I have it any more I have an additional option. I know Dave Lynn (VP of Flight Standards and Training that has direct oversight over CAL Pilot Recruitment) and he has always been a straight shooter with me. I will as him to verify your claim of turning CAL down.

Time to lay down your cards. If you come up with any excuse why you can't everyone will know you are not telling the truth. If you are telling the truth you have nothing to lose.

Dear ***** ****,

Congratulations for completing Continental’s new-hire pilot screening process. We are pleased to offer you a flight officer position with Continental Airlines in Class 07-** beginning Tuesday, ****** , 2007.

This offer of employment is conditional based on satisfactory completion of all pre-employment FAA requirements and Continental’s pilot training program. The FAA checks include:

The 10-year corporate background check,

National Drivers Registry check,

DOT Drug Test,

TSA Criminal background check,

Some of these checks may not be completed until after training has begun.

Aircraft and base assignments will be established on the second day using class seniority. Class seniority is determined by your date of birth, with the oldest being the most senior in the class. The B737 is the normal starting equipment, but it is not unusual for a new hire to be awarded a B757/B767 position. First year pay is $**.** per hour, regardless of the equipment flown, with a minimum pay guarantee of 76 hours per month as a reserve pilot; however, if you are awarded the Guam base and commit to an 18-month stay, you will receive second year pay on arrival in Guam. Second year pay for a reserve pilot is $58.44 per hour with a 76 hour per month guarantee. In addition, Guam pilots receive a Cost of Living Allowance of $1100 per month.

Per Diem will be paid to you for expense reimbursement while in training at the rate of $**.00 per day.

Training, excluding Initial Operating Experience, is eight to nine weeks. The first day, and half of the second, will be devoted to Company Orientation. Basic Indoctrination begins the middle of the second day and is eight days long. Specific aircraft training will begin the following Monday. The first two weekends will be off days; however, once aircraft training begins your off days may occur on any day of the week. You will have two off days a week with at least one longer break sometime in the middle of training.

Note: It is important that you be available for the first nine weeks of training. If for any reason you cannot be available for the entire training period you must let me know before accepting this job offer.

Benefits package, including medical insurance, begin six months after your hire date, except for Guam based pilots who receive benefits immediately on arriving in Guam.

Please have in your possession for the first day of class the originals and three legible copies of the following documents (you may copy more than one document per page as long as it is legible):

Oh please,

Like a couple of hundred ExpressJet pilots haven't recieved that same letter. That's a good cut and paste though of somebody else's letter. You should have kept the class date on it though so CAL EWR could have checked the class for a "cancellation". With your attitude, you will go nowhere in life.

I'm waiting to see if she forwards her personal data to CAL EWR for verification.

Everyone's calling your bluff, although a good one.

Either way, you're an idiot. If you passed on it to stay at a regional, your husband should smack you. If you are bluffing here, we'll ALL b*tch smack you.

Regardless of how, I am just glad you do not work for CAL. I hope you get on with a major soon, is your BFF helping you or what? The sooner you leave everything associated with CAL the better. Maybe just maybe then you will go away!

Pocono,

You probably have many friends that have been hired by CAL so it wouldn't be very difficult for you to copy, cut and paste one of their e-mails.

I PM'd you and like the public post and give you my word if you tell me your name I would do some checking and I wouldn't ever disclose your name to anyone other than when doing the check. You apparently decided to ignore my PM.

Whatever but you have lost all of your credibility on this forum. Look I don't care if you got hired and turned CAL down that is your own personal decision. CAL is far from the best flying job, trust me I know I left twice on leave of absences to go to work for other carriers over the years but got to keep my number. CAL has a POS contract no argument from me. But one thing I have learned from over twenty two years in this industry is nothing lasts forever and anything is possible. The only constant has been change is inevitable. You never no until after you retire (ask the poor US AIRWAYS pilots) until you look back on your career to know what were good and not so good career moves.

You take shots at CAL and seem to get some sick satisfaction out of it. If you want to clear your name (or handle on this forum to give some credibility behind your posts) you know what to do otherwise we all now know the truth about you.

Fraternally,

Jayson Baron
EWR B756 Captain

who says things are that bad here? I love it. somethings could be better, but somethings could be worse. we avoided BK, and while we don't get to wear double breasted jackets, we still get to maintain a small sense of dignity. I really am happy at all of Delta's success. we only hope to build on it. it sure didn't look possible 12-18 months ago...

I'm just happy that a good bro got the opportunity to upgrade. your lax buddy must be miserable...sorry you have friends like that. what are his initials, I may know him. maybe he should leave Alaska since you could get him a job flying with you there.

you know what, General...you are never going to convince me that I'm missing out on something by not flying at Delta, and I'm never going to convince you that I don't care.

Mookie

Great, you love it there. Most I have talked to do not. But, atleast you LOVE IT. Yeah, I'll give you my LAX buddies name, and his credit card number too while I am at it. He said the schedules they are putting out are really unproductive, making his life rougher. That CEO of yours is sure putting on the squeeze. I hope it gets better for you. Just think, if you would have gotten on with CAL like your FO, you could have had a chance at a faster upgrade too. How long is the upgrade at Alaska?

As far as my company going BK, yes, yes it did. I received about $180,000 after taxes too because of that. (the stock claim sale) Yes, we lost our pension. But, we got a better deal (A DC plan in our own names) and I will still get another check for about $100,000 for the pension dump itself. BK wasn't that bad for some, and even the retired pilots will get more $ than they thought they would get thanks to the PBGC getting more for their own claim sale. Now my airline is cleaned up and better able to compete (your airline can do the same if it wants). We are hiring again and things are moving. A small sense of dignity? Is that what we are lacking? When your leader moves you in the wrong direction and leaves with $16 million, is that our fault? Maybe you guys will see the same thing someday. I hope not.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Glad I sidestepped this train wreck.

How bad must the QoL be to bid back down to gear jerker, instead of Captain.

Sounds like a great place to be.

NOT! LOL

Is that what your FOs are to you? Just a "gear jerker"? Talking about a train wreck.... or plane wreck as may be the case (God Forbid) if that's how you view the Right Seat position in your aircraft.

Keep foolin' yourself sweetheart. Everyone else knows the truth.

Question is... do you just put on the holier than thou front for flightinfo or do you lie to yourself every night after you go to bed alone??

By the way, nice horses... you sad, sad little girl...

Little? I doubt it.... betcha' she's pushing 300.

The other thing that really bothers me is she is always taking shots at those who flowed back to CAEXP during the CAL furloughs. Here is more than likely the truth.

Pocono if the CAL/CALEXP flow through never existed you probably would never have been hired at XJT. If CAL wasn't hiring so many of your fellow pilots at CAL you probably would not be a captain at your beloved Xjet today.

Just so everyone knows. Two PM's to Pocono including putting my name out for public on this forum, and not one response to either PM to Pocono even though she has read them. If she got hired and turned down CAL the truth would be on her side and she would have nothing to lose.

Her credibility is right where it belongs down the toilet.
