Three resignations yesterday, from the CRJ side of ExpressJet. Two going to USAirways (Captains), and one was going to Spirit (not sure if FO or Capt.). Our instructor was laughing because in one recurrent ground class, the instructor asked who intended on moving on. The whole class rose their hands- even the senior "lifers". It appears that everyone is now looking at greener pastures.

Also, anyone who leaves ExpressJet may return with their original seniority number within a year. That is per the new Employee Handbook.

"Rehired employees returning less than one year from their termination date will have their last hire date reinstated. The pay anniversary date will be adjusted to account for termination time. Rehires will not have a benefits waiting period if returning within one year."

There's no way this applies to pilots....?

I do believe our contract supersedes the general employee handbook.

Yep, but they reeeeeallly want you to read the new handbook. Or at least check 6 boxes off saying you received it.

Why is that?
