I am NO supporter of the young backpack ipod people . . .

however . . . it needs to be said that there are some of the older pilots who are overweight, smelly, grumpy and sometimes rude to passengers that do nothing to help the image of the profession either

Good Lord. I just plugged in my 30GB ipod which is only half full, and if I played every song I have on it, it says it would play for 41 days straight before running out of songs. Is there even that much music in the world for a 160GB? :nuts:

My music folder right now is 125GB...and I know every song I have! If something happens to me medically my second option is being a guitarist....its my other life!

oh, lets just say no mobile phones either, those are modern and do not comply with the traditional airline pilot looks. Oh, lets also just say that all pilots must wear polyester $5 looking uniforms with plastic logos on them, 70's style haircuts with the magnum PI style mustache. Lets not forget the terrible trench coat to top it all off! my point being......times change, so can our uniform and our lifes accessories.......i like music and i like my backpack which my computer fits nicely....and my ipod.....but my computer rarely comes to work with me....but my ipod always does........and i like walks in the terminal....with music. get a life worry about your next PC
