My understanding is that this is the entire ATA operation...is that right? Pax service, contract/charter, everything?
They did... lost their government contract, and that was their bread and butter.Very sad. It doesn't mean they won't restructure themselves and come back. ATA does have some profitable routes and lucrative flying to be had, charters etc...
One can hope, but having just emerged from bankruptcy a little less than 2 years ago doesn't bode well. Liquidation looks pretty imminent. Can't believe it... 3 carriers in 3 days.I hope their employees go with the aircraft.
I don't think anyone else is going to liquidate for at least several months, but I think this is going to spur consolidation.What I'm worried about is....who is next?? This is definetely a wake up call to Fed Gov. Next comes high ticket prices and less people traveling and going on vacations. This is not good for the economy.
Never met an ATA pilot that wasn't a good $h!t. Good luck!
