It was on the CQY arrival in to dfw. She was not going to make a crossing restriction, so she did what you are all talking about.

ATC had me do a 360 on an arrival for spacing last year. It took the damn plane 2-3 minutes to complete it. I am sure the controller dropped a load when he/she noticed what was happening.
